China accounts for 53.2%! Global crude steel output in the first half of this year was 925.1 million tons

China Development Network According to the World Steel Association (WSA) report, in June 2019, crude steel output in 64 countries worldwide was 159 million tons, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year. Global crude steel production in the first half of the year was 925.1 million tons, up 4.9% year-on-year.

In the first half of 2019, the crude steel output in Asia was660.2 million tons, up 7.4% year-on-year. In the EU region, crude steelproduction in the first half of 2019 was 84.7 million tons, down 2.5% year-on-year.In North America, crude steel production in the first half of 2019 was 60.1million tons, up 1.4% year-on-year. The CIS crude steel output in the firsthalf of 2019 was 50.5 million tons, which was flat year-on-year.

 

In the first half of the year, China's crude steel output was492 million tons, an increase of 9.9% year-on-year, and the proportion ofglobal crude steel production increased to 53.2%. After deducting China, crudesteel production in other countries in the world fell by 0.3% year-on-year inthe first half of the year.

 

China's crude steel output in June 2019 was 87.5 milliontons, up 10.0% year-on-year. India's crude steel output in June was 9.3 milliontons, up 4.0% year-on-year. Japan's crude steel output in June was 8.8 milliontons, down 0.4% year-on-year. South Korea's crude steel output in June was 6million tons, down 2.6% year-on-year.
