According to the National Bureau of Statistics,the output of raw coal in March was 298.353 million tons, up 2.7% year-on-year.In the first quarter, the production of raw coal was 812.59 million tons, ayear-on-year increase of 0.4%, down 3.5 percentage points over the same periodlast year. In March, coke production was 38.997 million tons, up 5.4%year-on-year; cumulative production was 11.21 million tons, a cumulativeincrease of 7.3%.

According to the data of the GeneralAdministration of Customs, the import of coal in March was 23.482 million tons,down 12.1% year-on-year, and the double-digit decline for two consecutivemonths. From January to March, the cumulative import of coal and lignite was74.28 million tons, a cumulative decrease of 1.8%. In March, China exported565,000 tons of coal and lignite, a year-on-year increase of 158%; inJanuary-March, the cumulative export of coal and lignite was 1.824 milliontons, a cumulative increase of 88.4%. In June, the import of coking coal was6.14 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 53.1%.
