The EU stated that in 2017 it exported US$6 billion of steel and US$1.25 billion of aluminum to the United States.According to the documents published on Monday, the European Union asked to join the World Trade Organization in the Sino-U.S. consultations on the dispute over import tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Trump. The European Union stated that China's complaint has "significant interests" and stated that the U.S. measures violated the principle of anti-discrimination between WTO and its trading partners.
